What are Pelvic Floor Disorders?

While PFDs are common, they’re not “normal.”

How can you stop or fix PFDs?

Lifestyle Changes

A few things can help strengthen your muscles and stop the pressure:

- Maintain a healthy weight
- Stop smoking!
- Don't lift up super heavy weights over and over again (like in crossfit)
- Seek help for chronic cough.

Physical Therapy

It's sometimes hard to find the right muscles to work out. Physical therapists help find the rights ones.

Your doctor or ObGyn can refer you to one.

It may take a few sessions to see results, but women who stick with it have better control of their bladder.

Surgery

There are several surgical options you can talk to your doctor about if other methods don't work.
